Claire brings a background in investment banking and project finance to Active Equity Group as a Structured Finance Senior Associate. Prior to joining Active Equity, Claire worked in Project Finance at AlphaMark Capital where she specialized in bringing high impact capital markets solutions to an array of emerging technologies. Following internships at Guggenheim Partners and Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Claire began her career in investment banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in New York City focusing on M&A and equity-linked offerings. During her time there, she advised on multiple high-profile transactions, including a $1.4bn raise of senior unsecured debt and a $691mm follow-on equity offering. Using the skills she developed in banking, Claire left BAML for an entrepreneurial pursuit as a consultant to the Field of Dreams movie site before returning to a specialized finance role at AlphaMark Capital.
She is a proud graduate of the University of Alabama, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with Honors with a triple major in Finance, Economics, and Spanish. Claire is a passionate advocate for empowering women in business and currently sits on the Board of Directors for Complete Girlz, Inc., a nonprofit organization that works to empower and strengthen young women to inspire them to become the next generation of business leaders and entrepreneurs. Claire is based in New York City and is an avid traveler. She is bilingual in Spanish and speaks conversational Portuguese. In her free time, Claire is an avid golfer and is also an active volunteer among causes such as wildlife rescue and disaster relief.
